The Department for Communities and Local Government (DCLG) issued a revised Transparency Code in October 2014, which specifies what open data local authorities must publish. The Local Authorities (Data Transparency) Code 2014 states that specific transactions over £500.00 should be published at least on a quarterly basis. The Code also requires that the Council publish details of all Grants made to Voluntary, Community and Social Enterprise Organisations at least on an annual basis.

Washington Parish Council will as a result of these changes publish the required payment and expenditure information on a Monthly basis (where updates are required) and Grant information as and when approved. In the interests of transparency, the Council also publishes information on its Assets and Control Processes.
